Aiya and Jasmine are the sibling duo behind Little Likes, a folk pop band that doesn’t conform to what young musicians are supposed to be able to do. Hailing from Broken Head, the sisters started learning drums and piano on separate pathways at age 6, rarely playing together. Recently, Jasmine started playing guitar, writing songs and naturally tapped into the expressive drumming and vocal talents of her sister, Aiya.
Now 12 and 13, Aiya and Jasmine channel their youth and honesty into music that blends alternative, pop, and folk textures. Jasmine writes wistful and incisive lyrics, while Aiya drives each song forward with punchy, expressive drumming that belies her age.
With influences ranging from Paramore and Kings of Leon to Gracie Abrams and Remi Wolf, the sisters are adding some covers to their repertoire. For Aiya and Jasmine, this is just the beginning of a lifelong love affair with sound, rhythm, and the art of live performance.
